MPA achieve silver IIP accreditation and award nomination in first year

Professional services firm MPA has been shortlisted for the Investors in People UK Employer of the Year award in their first year of accreditation

Milton Keynes, UK: MPA has today announced shortlisting for the Investors in People Awards 2021 in the category UK Employer of the Year: Silver, 50 – 249 employees.

In a record-breaking year for entries, with nearly three hundred organisations involved, this is a major achievement for MPA, who have been nominated for the Award in their first year of IIP Accreditation.

The Investors in People Awards celebrate the very best organisations and individuals from around the world across various organisational, people, wellbeing and leadership categories. Each year hundreds of organisations from the UK and abroad battle it out to take home one of the sought-after trophies to show their award-winning commitment to investing in their people.

Talent and Engagement Director Samantha Gallagher said:

“We are absolutely thrilled to have been nominated for this Award. Achieving IIP Accreditation had been an ambition of ours this year, and I’m so proud that in our first year we not only skipped straight to silver level accreditation but have now been shortlisted in an awards category as well! We pride ourselves on being a people-first employer with good values so it’s great that our employees and IIP agree that we’re doing right things!”.

Last years’ UK Employer of the Year Silver winners included JobTiger Ltd, Endeavour Federation, and Watsons Personal Care Stores Philippines.

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, commented:

“Now in our 8th year, it always makes me feel immensely proud to see so many fantastic organisations staking their claim to be the best. And every year, the entries do get more and more competitive and the judging even tighter. Reaching the final shortlist is a testament to the amazing commitment these organisations are making to make work better for their people, and they truly deserve this recognition.”

The Winners will be announced at an online ceremony on the 23rd November 2021.

About Investors in People

Investors in People was set up by the government to support businesses who care about what it means to be a good employer. Accreditation is achieved by those businesses who can demonstrate that commitment after a period of assessment by a licenced practitioner against global standards. It is non-mandatory and voluntary to apply for IIP accreditation, which can be achieved at standard, silver, gold or platinum level.

Achieving the IIP silver accreditation recognises a highly empowered workforce, supportive management, and an embedded commitment to developing individuals. Only 20% of organisations assessed achieve silver accreditation.
