My best experience at MPA so far…
People, definitely the people.
We have many great client stories about how our work has meant that our customers could keep their firms going when things (particularly cash flow) got tough. From R&D tax credits to short-term loans we’ve helped people to keep their businesses running and their innovations flowing.
Within MPA, we’ve also been able to support some great career development, through training, mentoring, coaching and day-to-day support. It’s very rewarding to see people develop their potential.
Steven in 3 words:
Curious, empathetic and ambitious.
Favourite book / movie / play:
At university, I discovered Albert Camus, and his books really appealed to my melancholic side. Similarly, the film Paris, Texas resonates in a similar way; and it has a great soundtrack.
Hobbies and interests:
Family. Although a close family, we’re a bit spread out, so we like to make the most of our time together. With my wife, four children, their partners and now a grandchild, sitting at a table for a full-scale family meal is very much my happy place.
Away from the table, it’s triathlon. I’ve been competing now for almost 20 years and had some great adventures. While I’m not really getting any quicker, I enjoy the training, particularly as it means I get to swim, bike and run with family and friends.
