MPA names Northampton Saints Foundation as charity partner

The Northampton Saints Foundation helps over 5000 young people not in education, training or employment each year. They do this through various programmes which use the values of Northampton RFC and the power of sport to educate, inspire and support these young people, most often helping them find their way back into education or employment.

We’ve worked alongside the Foundation previously, donating much needed equipment to be used at the Study Centre. This year we’re aiming to go one step further and raise over £10,000 for the Foundation, through a variety of fundraising schemes and events which will be announced throughout the year.

Managing Director Catherine Deans is delighted to welcome MPA to the team and is excited to see the new partnership bear fruit.

We are thrilled to launch our corporate partnership with MPA. It’s vital that local businesses work together with us as we try to support our community; teamwork is key and so I’ve no doubt MPA will be a fantastic addition to the Foundation.

A meaningful partnership

“Northampton Saints Foundation is expanding all the time – enabling us to support, educate and inspire more young people than ever before across Northamptonshire and beyond.

“This new relationship will ensure we can maximise the reach and impact we have, so we look forward to the team at MPA joining us by taking part in some enjoyable and challenging fundraising activities. They are also looking into the possibility of working directly with some of the young people attending our programmes, volunteering to deliver cooking skills and business mentoring workshops.

MPA Marketing Director Phil Hammett is relishing the prospect of doing more for the Foundation.

He added: “We are excited to announce a long-term commitment to Northampton Saints Foundation as our new charity partner.

“Our team at MPA had an overwhelming response to examples of the vital work the Foundation do to help vulnerable and excluded young people within our community. We look forward to working hard with the Foundation to support the day-to-day running of the Study Centre, and to raising vital funds to ensure the Foundation’s impact is maximised.”

So, how are we doing?

We’re running a number of promotions and campaigns to boost our donations to the Foundation this year.

Our first charity fundraiser was a Halloween fundraising day, involving a costume competition, a raffle and cake sale which raised £278.35!

Now, up until the end of December, we’re pledging £300 to the Foundation for every new client that’s the result of an introduction. Additionally, we have charity days planned for all staff, enabling them to use a working day to help at the Study Centre or complete other fundraising activity of their choice.
