National Inventors’ Day honours inventors of the past, the creators of the present, and encourages the innovators of the future.

Countries celebrate on different dates, but aside from an attempt by BT to set one in 2014, there is no official date on which we celebrate here in the UK.

Never wanting to miss an opportunity to highlight our great inventors, though, we thought we’d follow the US and celebrate on February 11 – a date decided by President Ronald Reagan in 1983 and Thomas Edison’s birthday.
